The Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence runs an annual Carbon ‘LESS’ certificate scheme to recognize buildings or organizations that have achieved a verified absolute reduction of overall carbon emissions. Participants who demonstrate a minimum reduction of 3% in their carbon footprint against the baseline are eligible for the award.

The Crystal Group has once again demonstrated our leadership in environmental sustainability by winning three honors in the   ‘Shape Our Future’ competition. Organized by WWF-Hong Kong, the competition was aimed at encouraging businesses to adopt low carbon practices across its operations and to promote low carbon habits amongst management and staff.  It also sought to provide a platform to showcase best practices in environmental sustainability to foster more informed and engaged consumers.

The inaugural Hong Kong Carbon Reduction Campaign (HKCRC) was concluded on May 15 2010 with a fun and festive carnival attended by Mr Edward Yau, Secretary for the Environment of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR, and Dr Boon-yin Lee, Director of the Hong Kong Observatory.
